OPINIONS AND PRESPECTIVES
STORY
Al-Nimri says that “the story is basically an idea, and the basis of the idea is derived from a spirit that tries to explain itself and tell its situation,” noting that the language of the story should be “flexible, simple, abundant, smooth, flowing,” adding that “words must pant quickly in order to It perceives the spiritual state to which the story is presented, captures it and translates it accurately and honestly, so that we can enter through it the world of the story, which is very different from our lived reality here.” She also says, "It is not enough for the idea to be understood through the language of the text, but rather it has to take us to the space of the text, which is more spacious than the text itself, in which the spirit of the story resides," believing that thus the style should be free of complexity, and be simple so as not to be It is a burden, and it stands as a barrier in front of the recipient, who must know all his effort and thinking, in order to focus on the idea and the meaning behind the story.
POETRY
The writer presented her first book in poetry, saying, "I was born and write.. I write my soul.. I paint my faces.. I make my women with clay. I learn from what I read and write and form the meaning of love. In "My House" there is storytelling, poetry, and a magical world in which things and living creatures unite, harmoniously agree, and await the coming, hoping that this world will not be destroyed by removing the magic from it.
WOMEN
Jordanian writer Basma Al-Nimri has devoted a lot of space to women in her work, as she is burdened with women's issues because women are "the most capable of understanding the nature, spirit and depths of women," as she puts it. This was clearly embodied in her novel, “A red dot at the end of the line,” which dealt with the issue of domestic violence. As for her novel “The Mentor,” it discussed philosophical issues through a lone heroine who wanders the corridors of the novel, trying through her dialogue with herself to answer her difficult questions that worry her. It's serenity and perplexity.
